A world-renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature design stretching for more than a mile along a coastline of craggy rock, outcroppings and sun-washed shores. This championship layout is praised by Nicklaus himself for having the “three finest finishing holes in all of golf.” The 5th and signature 17th holes are currently ranked among “The 500 Best Holes in the World” according to Golf Magazine (January 2000).

The Desert Course at Cabo del Sol marks one of Tom Weiskopf's first forays into Latin America. This 18-hole target style golf course fuses desert, ocean and mountain terrain into a championship layout destined for world recognition. The Cabo Del Sol Desert Course is the second championship golf course featured at Cabo del Sol, an 1800-acre residential golf resort community located in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The Tom Weiskopf-designed Desert Golf Course spans gentle rolling desert plains and boasts ocean views from every hole. Weiskopf has combined large landing areas with few forced carries to ensure an enjoyable golf experience for players of all levels, yet still be challenging enough for tournament play.

Overall golf course yardage varies from 4,810 to 7,097 yards, with greens ranging from 5,000 to 7,500 square feet with gentle, subtle rolls and elevation changes. The bunkering is intense around the greens, yet the golf course is very playable. Wide, yet containing fairway corridors afford golfers great visual appeal off the tee.

Pacific coastal dunes, the bio-diversity of the Baja Peninsula desert and the hilly terrain surrounding
Cabo San Lucas provide a rich and dramatic setting for a golf course that is destined to be included
in the discussion of the world’s best.
Created by 20-time PGA Tour winner Davis Love III and his team of designers, the Dunes Course
at Diamante will combine the values of the best links layouts in Scotland and Ireland with the yearround
tropical weather of Mexico.
“[Diamante owner] Ken Jowdy has provided the Love Design team an amazing opportunity to
create one of the most challenging and breathtaking courses in the world,” Love says. “The property
is truly spectacular. It will blow away everyone’s perception of resort golf.”
The impending masterpiece will features 18 distinct holes, with emerald green fairways, inviting
greens and endless views of the Pacific.
“You are either playing towards the ocean, along the ocean or away from the ocean,” Love says.
“And then, at times, you’re down in the dunes and you pop up and are surprised by the view of the ocean. It’s groundbreaking to put a course like this in a resort area like Cabo.”
